Legal Hospice of Texas is a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services to low-income individuals who are terminally ill or HIV-positive. Our primary funding sources include Ryan White federal funds, Texas Access to Justice Foundation grants and private donations.
Unfortunately, we are unable to use federal or state funds to service clients who make in excess of 125% of the federal poverty level: $13,538 for a single person, $18,213 for a family of two, $22,888 for a family of three and $27,563 for a family of four. Often, potential clients come through our doors in need of help but may have income or assets that place them just above these limits. In those cases, we are ONLY able to provide services if we have funds available from private donations. And that is why I am asking you to support Legal Hospice of Texas with your donation today.
